My first "Loveless" style fixed blade.. I really like this Loveless pattern so I made this with Alabama Damascus random pattern and ram's horn. The hardware is nickle silver. It is a hidden tang that is pinned under the inlaid shield and has a micarta tang/liner between the horn scales.. 4.5" blade. I re-etched the blade to get a deeper contrast. going to be hard to part with it, lol.

That's a pretty cool looking knife.

Mike's and RW's Double naked knife patterns are the stuff legends and really high prices are made of. I asked Mike if he ever made a folder and his response was RW once told him he never made folders because they were all ready half broken.

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason! nidea

Did you contact Lacy about the etch? I've never used any of their blades but the ones that I've seen have all had a pretty nice etched finish.

no I didnt feel the need. the etch is fine, just seems to me its a quick etch and then they put the lacquer over it. I clean it off and then re etch it for longer so the different layers pop out more, thats all. The blades come very dark so I polish them and then re etch... here is another that I did and it isnt so dark.
