I decided to give bolsters a shot and it was a total pain in the butt. I had the wrong thickness material and spent a lot of time grinding them down and then the nickle silver pins don't match the nickle silver bolster material so they stick out like a sore thumb. Overall I'm happy with the way they turned out. This little 3 finger knife is 3/16" O1, cryo, RW Tested and acid etched with stabilized maple scales and nickle silver hardware.

The fit and finish on the bolsters looks real good but I hear ya. I hate doing bolsters but if that's what the customer wants I do them. Although my price increases when I do.

That's a great looking knife. The pins showing doesn't bother me at all, and I have quite a few customs with bolsters. Very well done.
