Wanted to brag on Mr. Steven Potts (randallss7), I hit him up a while back about doing inserts in a Boker that I found in my late Dad's stuff. The knife didn't have a lot of sentimental value as Dad had and was into a lot of things. It is, however, a auto knife and I wanted to keep it in my collection. The inserts were taped together in the box as they'd fallen out at some point. They didn't really fit the handle well, were ugly, and just gave the knife an unpleasant appearance. I remembered the Toxic Green & Kirinite Damascus knife I'd seen posted (http://texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbth...ucs#Post5816076) so I set about digging through the pages until I found it again and the maker. I messaged Steven in August about looking at doing work on the knife. Once we got everything lined out, I mailed the knife to him and he responded back once he had it in his hands. His main comment was how ugly the knife was, he asked if I minded if he modified or built full scales for it. I told him to do with it as he wished. He ended up hand removing a lot of the original material and making a a partial full scale. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. I know it's not a fancy knife and doesn't show the full potential of a custom piece he could build, but I wanted to show off his work.

Thank you again Randallss7 for taking this on and an outstanding job in my opinion. I couldn't have asked for more.

Old knife and inserts

Photo set of the newly improved knife now.
