I have looked into this product and it appears to be quite versatile. I have read where it is very similar to working with wood. I was interested in using some for pistol grips and would appreciate any comments or suggestions. Primarily interested in 1911 grips. I know this isn't really a knife question but it deals with a knife material/component. The reason I am looking at the kirinite rather than micarta or G10 is the multitude of colors and patterns. Thanks.

I use it it's easy to work. I just finished one "Toxic Green" with orange liners.
