I usually carry a Microtech, Karambit, or Spyderco as a backup self defense knife. Just wondering what others carry or suggest.

Thanks

Kershaw Whirlwind (partial serrated) in my pocket and if I'm wearing my insulated bib's a Spyderco Mariner (full serrated) in my chest pocket as well.

My self defense knife is a Smith and Wesson shield. No interest in bringing a knife to a gunfight. And if youre justified to use a knife on somebody, youre justified to use a gun.

There are situations that require a knife to get to your gun. One such situation is someone notices that your carrying and attempts to snatch your weapon. In weapons retention training, you will be taught push the butt of your weapon down locking it into the holster, draw your knife from the off side an use it to get an attacker off you so that you can draw your pistol. It's just one more situation that if your prepared you can survive.

You know the 21' rule? If you have a holstered pistol someone could easily get to you and stab you if within 21'. Knives are more dangerous than thought of.

Mark, my Brother and I tested that one. It's true.

I have a bushmonkey junkyard dog, almost the same knife. Excellence.

Carry some form of benchmade everyday. One of my favorites is the adamas kind of heavy but is a work horse.
