Pretty cool. I would love to own a John Neeman made axe someday.

I have been trying to convince myself to buy an Autine Axe but they are pretty expensive. John Neeman is the owner/master blacksmith for Autine. Maybe after hunting season is over...

Well of course I do. I keep a 6 pound flathead axe in the toolbox of my truck.

I have ambition to forge my own axe head, and to make a handle out of Bois d' arc I harvested. Maybe one day I'll have the time.

I have bought a few from Lin Rhea, He makes a really nice axe and in my opinion they are a good value.

Nice collection, and I have been thinking about getting a good solid axe about the size of the top one in your pic.

What brand and model is that top axe and how much are they?.....I am looking for a good quality all around useful full sized axe; any advice on which entry-mid level model would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I learned at a young age I didn't like an axe at all. Chainsaw is the only way to go.

The top Axe is a American Felling Axe with a 31 inch Strait Handle. It is made by Gransfors Burks. This one cost $230 but remember it is an heirloom tool not a chain store axe.
