I just got drawn for the postcard hog hunt at Gus Engeling. Does anybody have any info on this hunt? Do we get to chose compartments, or are they randomly assigned? Camping facilities? General tips or any info at all would be appreciated! Thanks!

there are shelters for camping, it is primitive, water but no electric. You get to pick 3 compartments and they will assign based on your choices. Most of the time they try and give you the first choice. I was there in October, didn't see any hogs, but plenty of sign. During my hunt it was 75-80 degrees, so didn't see much of anything moving. The first afternoon, do a quick scouting of your compartment and decide where to set up. I took a ladder stand and a pop up blind. You can put out corn. The staff is friendly and helpful, good luck and let us know if you have any luck!

Might want to call the office just to confirm. Also the hunt brochure should have quite a bit of info.
