I drove by the highway in late August to see the public dove lease at Lytton Springs. I did not enter the property. What I could see from the highway was not impressive to me. The growth was very high often shoulder high and higher. If I shot a dove I don't think I would be highly successful finding a downed bird.

Maybe the interior of the property not visible from the highway is better. About the best thing to come out of the trip was that I stopped in Lockhart and ate some good BBQ at KREUZ MARKET.

Luck favors the prepared mind.

Anybody tried Lytton Springs out lately? I think I'm going to try it out again this weekend.
