What store has the largest selection of binoculars to try out? In Dallas.

Brands: Swarovski, Leica or Zeiss.

Those are all great brands. Cabelas should have most if not all.

If you go there, check out the Euro HD Cabelas brand. Many times you might find a pair in the bargain cave.

They are made be Meopta, a German company. They are the most glass for the money IMO. Love mine and if you compare them to what your considering, I think you'll be very impressed.

SWFA is where I got for all of these type of comparisons. You can test out pretty much any unit you can imagine and they'll let you take them outside and look at outdoor landscape and the resolution chart across the street. Better than judging optics through a store interior lighting.

Ignoring the customer service element, I'd start in the Allen Cabela's bargain cave. They've got a ton of discounted glass across the quality spectrum, from $$$$ to $.

+1...

Bought a few from Skylar off their sample list and have been very happy.

Thanks to all for recommendations. I am almost able to drive (broken foot and surgery) and will be heading out to start looking and shopping.
