I am looking at getting a spotting scope for use judging distant whitetails out of the truck and deer blind as well as for future western hunts. I have never had a spotting scope before but have invested in quality scopes and binoculars. I don't want to spend a lot on a spotting scope ($1,000 or more) as it won't be used as much as my binocs. What brands, models, magnification ranges, and objective sizes do you all recommend?

There is a vortex razor 65mm in the classifieds right now. You can't beat that scope at that price

Pay it forward - Kids are the future.

Rifles are similar to boats and young women...there's no end to how much money you can pour into them without making them any more useful.
