Buzz,I've looked through their top two lines, the Midas and Cronus. I was pretty impressed with the optic quality of these scopes. USAOptics in Grand Prairie,Tx is a dealer for them, and have excellent prices on them.
The Midas scopes are on par with the Sightron SIII,Vortex Viper PST,and other $1k and under scopes.

The Cronus line is top notch, the glass is on par with scopes like the Razor HD,Swarovski,Nightforce, etc. Whether the internals are of the same quality is yet determined, but they are very nice optics for the price.

Both of these series of scopes are made in Japan, the rest of Athlon scopes are made in China. There are a bunch of guy's on Snipershide that have really good things to say about Athlon scopes,as well as the good customer service that they've had dealing with Athlon about their optics.

I'm planning on trying out a Midas 4.5-27x50,and if it impresses me,I'll probably buy a Cronus.

I have sighted in rifles with both the Cronus and a Midas and for the money they seem very good and I can't add much that Txhillbilly didn't say except maybe describe turrets. The Midas BTR turrets felt a little mushy close to the feel of Leupold VX3/Vx6 which I would class them with.
The Cronus feel crisper more like the Nightforce or maybe a better comparison would be the Bushnell Elite Tactical series which it seems very similar to.

I might add I picked both up from Horizon Firearms who is also a dealer.

Lots of threads on Athlons in optics section over at the hide right now. If your looking at buying I'm sure it's worth checking out. Most the feedback I've seen has been great.
