Looking at the SHV 5-20X56 barely in my budget.

Rifle will be used for long range shooting, mostly (80%)at Known distances, re; F-Class and at JG's Ranch.

I like the International Hunter Reticle (IHR)because its so uncluttered and simple. The scope has "Zero Reset" so dialing up and down will not be a problem.

On the other hand, if I ever sell this scope, I think the MOAR will be more popular among most shooters because you can range with the reticle.

Scope is SFP and .25 MOA

Your thoughts on which reticle would be appreciated popcorn

Not even a close call - MOAR all the way. I have both and the MOAR is by far a more useful reticle. The IHR is 3 MOA on each axis, which is too big to be useful for longer range shooting. For F-class, the MOAR-T is even better as it is a finer reticle than the MOAR.

fwiw - watch ebay, amazon and some other forums for used NXS' which can be picked up at surprisingly low prices. I have bought most of my NF's used at significant savings. ebay can have some real deals with patience, but patience is the key.

At most F-class matches, SFP and MOA with fine reticles typically dominate the top slots.
