yes its a 19a. I plan on calling in the morning thanks for the reply. One thing I have noticed about this unit, it will run the battery down pretty fast even if its turned off? I thought that was weird so I started removing the battery pack and had no more problems until now. It has been a very good unit would recommend it.

I have one I have been testing, it's a good little unit but remove the battery pack.
I didn't think I liked it at first but it does indeed have better resolution than the Eotech X320 I am testing.

I love mine.. I did have an issue replacing batteries in the dark. Found out I loaded them incorrectly once I turned light on.

Pulsar has a reputation for great customer service unlike certain Alternate Tactical Nightvision vendors. Not to mention any names.

I think the unmentioned company has screwed their selves over this latest product fiasco.

They do have great customer service. All thermals go through batteries pretty quick. At least you aren't having to buy CR 123's. You can power it externally via Pulsars EPS3 or EPS5 rechargeable battery setups. It will run longer and you won't have to buy batteries. You can also buy a good rechargeable Li-ion battery and make your own cable to power it externally. up

I am confident that Sellmark will take care of you. When these types of things happen they have always taken care of me and my customers.

FYI, do not use an external power supply with AA batteries in the unit. This goes for the Pulsar Quantum, Digisight, APEX, and other Pulsar units. Just a safety precaution to make sure there is not too much power sent to the unit.

Well... good news!

Just received my replacement unit from Sightmark/Pulsar.... They said it could have been any number of things and that they might still not know the exact cause, they just sent me a brand new unit. They upgraded me to the latest model... the XD 19S... so far, looks great! I havent had much of a chance to play with it yet, but some cool new features are a 4x digital zoom and COLOR pallets and display. VERY impressed with their customer service. Now, just have to get this baby out in the dark and give it a try!

Glad to hear they took care of you. Sellmark has excellent CS! Ive had some strange battery issues with my HD38S but always seem to get it working.
