I have been offered a 6-18x50 AO BDC
Does anyone have one and if so how good are they?
Was this there entry level scope?
Also what have they been going for? I have looked online a little but haven't found much.

AV or PH?

AV is the new Z3 line(3x by 1 inch tube) and the PH is 3x by 30mm tube version

It's a good scope just the older version

It is the AV 6-18X50, which is from the same series as the scopes Swarovski currently refer to as the "Z3", though they have discontinued that particular model. A buddy of mine has that scope, and it's a fantastic, as you'd expect from Swaro. When it was available, it retailed for around $1200 - $1400, so it's a high end scope by 1" tube standards. The reason they discontinued it is because they simplified the Z3 line (3:1 zoom ratio) once they introduced the Z5 series (5:1 zoom ratio) scopes. They trimmed the Z3 line down to only 3 models. Today, high zoom ratios (over 4:1) are the rage, and since they introduced the Z5 3.5-18X44 at a MSRP not much more than the AV 6-18X50, yet offering much greater FOV on the low end of the power range, it didn't make much sense to continue building the 6-18X50.

Enjoy your scope. It's a good one!
