When doing research I didn't come across much info on the Nemesis line of scopes from Armasight so I kinda wanted to provide some feedback on my latest purchase of one. I originally had been trying out a Pulsar Digisight N550 that belongs to a good friend but I wasn't overly impressed with it. Looking back I feel the Illuminator he had either down right stunk or the battery was low :-). I ended up purchasing a ATN X-Sight 5x-8x and was very disappointed that it was going thru some firmware issues and honestly didn't work correctly! Honestly the Pulsar N550 was much better than the X-Sight. Ended up sending the X-Sight back and picked up the Armasight Nemesis 6XQS. Holy cow what a difference in clarity between these 3 models. I love the magnification and the amount of natural light it brings in. With the Armasight XR850 Illuminator and the Armasight Doubler I'm very very impressed with the Nemesis! I was really thinking I wanted Thermal but honestly I feel they are still a tad too high for the specs. I'm hoping they start to drop in price and go up in features like the LCD TV markets have done :-). So far though I'm completely pleased with the Nemesis!

Digital vs I^2

There are arguments to be made either way all-day between the two technologies.

I'm glad you like your new scope, how is that field of view inside of 50 yards?

What illuminator are you running?

It's pretty tight at 50yrds but really not nearly as bad as I had expected. I've got a couple of different IR's I've been playing with.........I've got the Streamlight SuperTac, a NiteCore Cl6(not great) and I've got two of the Armasight XLR-IR850's and one with the Doubler. Now I have to say that is a pretty impressive Illuminator especially with the doubler. I've been tempted to try the torch pro but haven't pulled the trigger just yet. I did order a pulsar N850 to put on my other rifle and maybe I'll compare the two once I get it. I was really hoping the X-Sight would turn out to be all it was claimed to be. I was cutting it close on my return period so I sent it back just before this last big firmware update. If all goes well I'll repurchase one once they get it working. I did order a set of the ATN Bino-X binoculars but haven't received them yet. The feature set of those two products are above anything I've seen especially at the price. I'm almost 43 and never been into hunting at all but predator hunting has really got me into it :-) Bad thing is when I get into something I usually jump head first :-)

Well it seems that you are good at jumping! The Nemesis sounds pretty cool. What sort of environment are you hunting in? That may really come into play for your illuminator.

Just getting started here in MS. Mostly we are hunting open pasture tracks ranging anywhere from 200 to 300 yards.
Picked up a FoxPro Shockwave with the decoy attachment and got a few different red light setups to try but I think we gonna just use the NV stuff instead. I had a cheap NV monocular and Ive got a pair of 5x NV Binoculars as well for a spotter. I've been trying to learn as much as I can and get all my stuff together to start out right :-). Slowly getting there I guess :-)
