Planning a Coues deer hunt next year and trying to decide between binoculars. I have a good pair of Nikon ATB 8.5x56 binoculars that I can use. However the guide recommended 10x50 or 12x50 binocualar to be able to see deer farther away, up to a mile. Would like to hear any of your thoughts and recommendations.
Thanks Deans

I wouldn't get the 12x unless you plan on using a tripod. IMO. They will wear you out trying to keep them steady But I would upgrade to 10x though over the 8x

anything over 10 I would think spotting scope would be necessary.
