I got some Troy industries iron sights a while back. Finally took the time to dial them in while out at the lease this weekend. https://troyind.com/products/micro-set-hk-front-and-round-rear-blk Setup a target at 100Y, took me a bit to find the paper, but once I did I managed to get it zeroed fairly quickly. Adjustments were made after shots 1 and 2. I finished the magazine with shots 3-6 figuring it would be close enough for iron sights at 100Y. I was pleasantly surprised with the three holes in the red. Surely some luck was involved. Overall I’m pretty happy with the sights. I think the picatinny clamp could be better, but it seems to work.

Nice. My eyes stink but I enjoy shooting irons on AR's. Have one carbine that wears a standard A2 carry handle and another rifle with 1-4 Burris Mtac and Matech buis. Both zero'd at 100yds. Like the looks and quality of MI stuff, just a little more than I want to spend on plinkin sights.

That's wild. Real good shooting. I am remarkably bad with iron sights. I shot my Ruger AR for the first time on Monday and had a 4"-5" group going at 50 yards on iron sights and I was happy with that. About 12 shots IIRC.
That being said, a big part of iron sight accuracy is how precise the sights are. The AR sights with a smaller opening on the back sight can be fairly accurate. The Ruger has a medium hole on the back sight. Not sure how the Troys are, but Magpul used to have multiple aperture choices if I remember right, which was pretty nice.
