I hunted with one for a while. Heck, I had that first Youtube hog kills with one! Here It is a functional scope, but would not be my first choice. For about the same money, you could get the Puslar Apex XD38 and for slightly more, the Apex XD50. I think these are better options. For a touch more, I would suggest getting an Armasight Zeus 3 336. Here are some vids done through the Predator. It is a fixed focus scope and like I said, it is functional, but I like the other options noted better. https://youtu.be/i2ucCWwFM5s First Hogs https://youtu.be/8vxBCbNUr3A Coyote https://youtu.be/IEZzGwwrU0Y Bobcat https://youtu.be/pidljCQIFTU Watching another hunter shoot a coyote Pulsar XD38a Video, probably the best stuff is by my buddy, Lancer. He does a LOT of hog killing with his XD38a. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC85NxcimufzHNuZq71yEPpwThe XD50 will give you a bit more magnification and a larger lens, so the image will be a bit better still. I have not hunted with the Zeus 3 336 for a long time, but was quite pleased with it when I did. Bottom line. For about the same money, I think the XD38a is a better choice. For slightly more, you can improve your experience appreciably.

I too have been researching thermal scopes and plan to purchase within the next 2 weeks. I selected the ARMASIGHT Predator 336 2-8x25 (60 Hz) but now am rethinking what I want to purchase.
Is it worth spending the extra $1000 on ARMASIGHT Zeus 336 3-12x42 (60Hz)?
What are the main differences between a 30Hz and a 60Hz?
Any insight?
