Just pickd up the hyper clean Hawkeye SS/syn 300WMg I won last week on GB. I'm going to try and learn to tolerate the Winnie's shoulder bump again with a basic 3x9x40 1" tube and use the Orinal rins for that. If I can get used to the Less than Super Max loads I always shot in the past, these'll still be faster than a 30'06's. The Plan is to use a Vortex Viper HS 30mm 4x16 SF on it after that.
What say ya'll for 30mm rings on a SS Hawkeye?? Ron

SFD where did your Ruger's Leupy rings come from? I'm a little confused about the color though and really feel like I want to put hands on, gun in hand to make sure the ring height is not a problem as well, before buying something, as the "silver" that matches a R77's MkII SS finish is way too bright for my Hawkeye SS's dull finish. Otherwise, the default selection is a Matte Black to match the scope, that is probably the best choice anyway.
Just about time to assemble this rifle & so far only have found SWFA listing what I think is the correct Model #'s, now that the last "foreseeable" LOLOLOL eye surgery was done successfully yesterday in Temple, with nothing else scheduled for cutting on, at least so far today. Ron

OK I see now I gotta go to Midlothian, gun & scope in hand and get it done once and for all. Those are Leupy rings, right? check that ...I can see the Logo's clear as be.
I can also stop in and see my Insurance Agent, Dennis Tucker, while I'm up there. Been a couple years since I've seen him face to face. Thx for the good clear pics. Ron
