I currently have a sig m400 I would ultimately like to have perform double duty as a hog and home defense carbine. I have been struggling as to what optic to run on it, currently running iron sights. I am thinking about mounting a tlr1 on the front sight post for home defense use but have looked at the green lights/ laser designator for use with an optic for shooting hogs at a maximum range of 100 yards at night, this would go on a rail on the forearm when hunting. I am considering a 1-4 variable scope or the sparc 2 but was curios if anyone has used the red dot with Green light for this application? How did it work?

I went with Aimpoint and I'm glad I did.
