How many of you guys are using the above? I had a very early 5-18 having multiple issues, RMA'ed for a new one, mounted it up this weekend. The new one started rebooting, going to a color screen, etc after about 8-10 shots. Early on ATN said it was OK for use with a .308. I have to be believe the shock is an issue. What say you?
Thanks, Charlie

Make sure your battery cap is extremely tight. I have one mounted on my .30-06 A-Bolt and have had 0 problems.

Yeah... I remembered reading that, cranked it down as tight as I could get it, same result on the next shot. It's starting to get old when I go out ready for my first night hunt, and never actually get to do it.
It didn't help another guy on the lease was there with me with his Eotech, Magnifier and PVS14 snap-on combo. It really made sense to me, that's the best combo on a AR, for day/night shooting. The PVS14 is just too spendy for me for a while.
Any others?
Charlie

I have a 3-12X and using it on both my Blaser rifles, calibers, .308W and 9.3x62 with suppressor on both. Not any problems, maybe 200 shots fired.
There is an improved battery cap, just send ATN a mail for asking for the replacement cap.

I use a Ruger AR10 and x-sight 5-18 and don't have the problem you mentioned either before or after I added a suppressor.
When you put the cap on, turn it CCW until you hear/feel a snap then tighten down CW. Can't remember who told me about this anymore.

I have a .308 with the 5-18. I had a couple minor issues with this combination. I have had to remove all the mounting screws on the scope and rail, bolts on gun. Then reinstall with lock tight. Had too many problems with them coming loose. Highly recommend this. Now everything works great. the scope is five pounds remember! recoil with heavy gun is the problem.
