I got to bring a demo Zeus and Apollo 640's home with me after the Noctober shoot to test out. This video was from the Zeus I had it mounted on one of my 6.8's that had no optics and I mounted the Apollo on the LWRC Razorback in front of the Vortex Razor 1x6.

Somehow the brass in the rifles chamber corroded I'm not sure how since I used the same cleaners as always but after the first shot which kills the sow I was stuck with out a working rifle. After the shot I had enough time to walk he 500-600 yards back to my truck grab the LWRC Six8 return and kill four more hogs.

You can also see four coyotes in the video I was calling with the foxpro and the hogs came out between myself and the yotes so I switched targets smile

Again this is another perfect example of the hogs sticking around after killing the lead sow with a suppressed rifle.

scratch not able ta watch video, android wars rofl years ago was shooting .270 bout hour walk from truck one way, dark-thirty, was still legal hours for WMA. big hog stepped out on old ATV trail, & headed too clearing bout 20 yrds. eased up, their was over 20 hogs. took aim at biggest, head shot, dropped it, hogs scattered, tried ta drag hog, key word tried, so gutted. looked up hogs coming right back feeding. stopped gutting, had rifle bout 10 yrds leaning against tree, walked over to it, aimed, another head shot at smallest of bunch, it dropped. hogs took couple steps, kept eating. already had more hogs on ground than planned. could have tkept shooting. instead shooed rest away. gutted both, started dragging one at time, while rest of hogs were just out of sight. twas dark at this time. went back to truck, drove home ta get backpak, called friend. three of us meet at parking area, walked back, hung up biggest hog, for back packing. the other hogs were still their whole time. twas a 4 hour trip for the three of us, tis thankfull for the help. no suppressed rifle, they stayed their whole time. could be more of, as U said taking out lead sow. cool story, cheers on hogs & yotes Edit: android changed few words. not trying ta take away from your post. have shot at hogs, & had to side step ta get our of way. whin hunting strange things happen. flag

Yea I miss those days when they were out in the daytime and hog hunting was not so popular. Now everyone shoots at them and they are way more wary!

cheers hog hunting is a big thing these days. some plenty of the night hunts several years before took those hogs. mostly solo, hard ta find some one ta go with, they called me caveman. rofl don't recomend it. but like your hunts, safety came first. new the area, limited the distance of my range whin shooting. know what ya mean. hogs these days are way more wary, got a video were found some in thick switch cain sleepen by downed tree. rofl sneeked up on em & scared the chit outa em. some may say that's unetgical, some may say i'm muyloco i've been tested, yah, as they say, ya can't fix stupid rofl tis why i'm going broke. place mentioned was great place for hog hunten, they wanted hogs gone. they been thinned out since it opened ta public. if ya put in the leg work, best hunten around. back pac works best. cheers & best wishes flag Edit: rofl these days, fighten android. had typed in unethical spell check showed it green yet whin hit post confused2 don't do no good ta complain flag
