Hi guys,
I am purchasing 300 acres over by Abilene in Throckmorton. The property is going to be specifically for hunting camp but obviously will have some family activities. There is about 75 acres at front of property that is more open than the rest and having a pond build onto it.
However for hunting I was thinking of fencing of around 30-50 acres in the middle of the property which is the thickest part specifically for a deer "sanctuary." The fencing would mainly be for our sake not to go in there and mess with them. Any Thoughts? Was going to set up maybe a major protein feeder and have stands and corn around perimeters. Is this too extreme?

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't waste the money on fencing. I'd just stay out of the area if you are wanting some type of sanctuary.
Before I spent money or work on fencing, I may just ribbon off a perimeter for a heads up unless you are trying to keep livestock out of there as well.
