How's everyone in Young Co looking?

Game cam pics look promising other than the bucks are all nocturnal.

If it got any better we wouldn't know what to do.

Wait, scratch that, there are no deer in Young county, or they're all nocturnal.

Can't wait tell this weekend seen some studs last weekend while bow hunting. Time to break out the boom stick.

I have some good ones but same here all nocturnal and nice 8 showing up at noon everyday but he's too young

Slow bud, the pictures have gone down significantly at the feeders, still lot of nocturnal pics on protein and food plots. Need that rut to kick in soon. Was at ClearFork this afternoon and they said they've only had six/seven deer in this week all on Monday, normally in bow season they get 3_5 daily.

How many of y'all braved the rain. We went out got in my blind early but I think I may have spoiled everything with this cough I have. My buddy shot a nice 10pt across the ranch.

These were taken yesterday morning, 8pt on the left and 9pt on the right. I had some activity yesterday but nothing spectacular. Didn't hunt this morning with the anticipated rain fall and the land owner worried about his roads. Time for a sxs

I had 2 small bucks Saturday eve and 3-4 does. I didn't shot any does cuz I was hoping some bucks were chasing the ladies. Seemed like they
Were wanting to chase. Not quite yet. Have a few nice bucks on cam. But most at night.

No cams up this year, each hunt will be a surprise...

Hoping the wheat is planted (I don’t do that but the timing for that would have been last weekend) so it makes a start by this weekend. But other than that, feeders spinning and hoping for action Saturday eve....

I haven't seen a single buck worth shooting

No shooters on cameras yet, but some very nice young bucks that will look great in a couple of years.

Had a ton until everybody started feeding, hogs came in, and the acorns started to fall about a month ago

Went out yesterday to check feeders saw a few doe two young bucks and one decent buck on camera. Did manage to drive up on a few doe crossing a road there's was a buck right behind them. Wonder if the rut is going to start early.

Thoughts on this buck

rut will be normal time, but if temps stay high we will be seeing none of it.

That buck looks good. if he fancies you, then shoot him. I have seen better for the county, but if that one gets you excited have at him.

So far I have seen only young illegal bucks and doe. no older bucks to speak of, but expect that to change come late october early novemeber. thats when the big boys came out last year. need it to cool off in a major way!
