Good deer, hogs, some Turkey. Closer to the river the better IMO. Lots of Blackland in the southern part with lots of open farmland. Thick post oak and whiteoaks in northern R R

We hunt 30 minutes north east of Clarksville. Decent deer, have never seen any monsters but 110 to 130 typical large bucks. If the area has been logged, you have open area to hunt in. If not logged, you have a 25 yard to 75 yard shot. Population on our 145 acre lease is about 10 to 20 doe on cameras with at least 10 to 12 different bucks. I am sure they move around off the property also. Hogs come and go depending on the time of year. When they are there they are thick, 15 to 30 per group. Other than that you may see a male every so often on camera at night. Turkeys, plentiful but can only take one turkey in the spring season per game laws. Also cant hunt turkeys over bait and can take only by bow, cross bow or shotgun. Deer, you can only take does during bow season or the first couple of weeks in November by rifle and during the two weeks of black powder season in Jan.
