It extends till Jan 17th correct? Is any deer allowed or is it just spike and does?

No idea but I would play it safe and assume that it is doe/spike only.

It's already doe and spike season. Why would they add a youth season on top of it that is no different?

Youth season is not doe/spike only.

Pretty sure he's talking about late season going by the dates he posted.

I see where youth season is extended. Guess I'm confused now on if youth can only kill spike or doe. Kinda reads that way but maybe I'm reading it wrong. Long day!!! I always thought it was doe and spike only during late youth season. Pretty sure I just confused everyone including myself. Sorry.

depends on the county. just go tpwd and look up your county. youth season they can shoot big daddy if he walks out. a lot of counties have doe and spike and late season youth running at the same time.

Yeah I was curious about this myself. In parker there is a late spike and doe, but also an extended youth season with the same dates. Would that mean my son could shoot a buck with a 13 in spread or greater, or spike and doe only? Doesn't really specify in the handbook.

Yes youth can still shoot the big daddy's if your county has the late youth season.

The extended is just like the early youth season. They can take any deer that is legal just like the regular season. My grandson had a school function this weekend but we are planning on going back to the panhandle next weekend for one last try at getting him a good buck.
