Haven't had a pig on cam in weeks and I've got 2 eating corn first thing. To shoot or not to shoot?

Thanks for posting a live hunt, I was blessed with a healthy boy 4 months ago so I'm at home this opening day watching him smile while momma is getting some extra sleep. My feeders are probably dry and I will not be able to get out there as much this year but the lord has blessed me with an even greater trophy. So I will live through your post !

Bunch of does and 2.5yo bucks. That's it other than a group of pigs that just strolled through about 10 minutes ago.

Had a two sounders of piglets come yesterday eveing. Shot 2 from the second group but could only locate one. Saw an axis doe but waited to see if she was the lead doe of a group and she was solo. Back at it now.

Just had an 8 come down the hill. Really he was more like a big 6 with little crab claws that made him an 8. Pretty cool looking, he had white tips on each point.

Watching a 2 year old 8 point run a doe. He's got a pretty frame. Hope he makes it another couple years.

Had about a 26-30" axis in velvet at about 300 yards yesterday evening. He never stepped out of the brush to give me a shot. While I was watching him a nice 3 year old 8 came strolling through. He looked to be mid 130s. I was hoping the axis would slip up...they're both still roaming these hills.

Been back in the stand about an hour. Windy, hopefully it does down soon.

Got in the stand about 1500 and did a quick survey. I'm hunting on the opposite side of the hill I saw the axis buck the other night. Already seen a couple does.

No sooner did I type that last post than I looked up and saw a big ole axis body in the clearing that used to be a fence line. Got my scope on him just as his head was going into brush but could see velvet antlers. Where he was they sometimes cut across the clearing and go into the cedars and over the Hill without leaving cover. He slipped up. I watched as an axis doe and buck that was still growing his horns cleared the cedars and came into the open. I ranged them at 312 yards. I put my where they stepped out and sure enough be followed. I tried to make sure he was good enough or the same one as the other night but didn't want to lose him so I let the Creedmoor bark. Bang, flop.
