Been on this lease since 2007. Not seeing the mature deer we have seen in the past
. Some young 2 and 3 year olds but that's about it. The pigs have finally moved in as well. I wonder how they will effect the deer movement. I wonder if the 2011 drought will catch up with us. What are you guys seeing in this area?

I hunt Mills County. I'm seeing mature bucks at both feeders. So far so good.

We hunt 650 acres in norhtern mills county and have 6-7 that we have known for the last few years and feel confident are 4.5 or older. A couple are almost always on camers at night but most of them have been at the feeder during daylight....I'm sure that will all change in the next few weeks.

Mills County - I saw a lot of what you saw this weekend, but I know the larger bucks are out there and will show up with cooler weather/rut. I saw a group of bucks in late June that had 4-5 that were at least 4.5, imo. I was happy to see some pretty solid young bucks this weekend. Fawns were all over the place in size, from large jackrabbit to one I almost mistook as a 1.5 year old doe. Only saw one set of twins; saw 8 does and five fawns, thought it should have been more.

I hunt Mills County. Saw a good number of deer, as well as two mature bucks. Saw several younger bucks too, and a good number of doe.

I hunt northern mills, tons of deer. More bucks than I've ever seen but most on the younger side. Got a few old dogs on camera though. They are still running together usually break up last week out-first week nov. they like to change patterns for rifle season haha.

I have some video's from the came camera of four bucks in the field together from last week, in a few of them the buck's were sparring with each other. The only problem with the bucks this year is age (young) and time (all at night). Of course they will start to move more in the day in a few weeks, I am just hoping that big papa makes an appearance at some point. Hopefully while I am out there to meet him....

Saw a big buck being scored at the hardware store in Goldthwaite this morning. I think they said it went 160 or so. Apparently killed right outside of town.
