We hadn't taken a buck in 4 seasons, but we decided to take out two older bucks that didn't show too much potential. I took out the 10 pointer and my father-in-law took out the 7.

I also finally took a decent pic of a spider web.

And my wife finally made it out to the ranch.

If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

Looks like both deer needed to go. the 7 probably needed to go a year ago.

Nice to see a gun toting aggie wife.

That 7 has been around a long time. We just never saw him during the day. The recent weather has really had the bucks moving. We've seen at least 8 bucks this past three weeks. We didn't really see any the past two years.

It was her first time out there, and I loved it. I'm still in the process of convincing her to shoot something, but it will have to wait until next year. At least she carried the guns. She sat in the blind with me Saturday evening and we got to see a little 4 pointer buck.

Spent as much time as I could down at our place over the holidays, saw lots of action (deer & pigs) just no shooter bucks. Finally saw a buck chasing hard this last Thursday but couldn't tell what he was. My trigger finger started itching so I ended up shooting a spike & a pig at last light. Will be back down again this weekend...Glad you guys put a few down & always a major plus if your better half wants to be a part of it. up

We still have a couple of weekends, so I'm excited to see what may come out.

Been wandering about this. We were busy and missed mid through late December, but have never seen any real chasing or anything yet this year. Its hard to believe it just hasn't started yet, but maybe so.

It's on now. I finally saw a buck chasing a few does hard last Thursday. Saw several other does being frisky and running around looking back in the brush.

I haven't personally seen bucks chasing does, but I haven't seen any bucks together in a long time. They're all solo.

Just curious, how old do you guys think that buck that my father-in-law shot might be?
