One day for 2 weeks? DUH confused2 roflmao

Likely wont rain all day, and if it stops after a heavy gusher, they will get up to shake it off, good time to be there. If you don't go, what are you going to do? besides kick yourself in the butt for not go'n......Or, tell me the address and I will go for ya up

Yep, breaks between downpours can get deer moving like crazy.

My theory is that you are definitely not going to see anything if your not out there. Any chance I get to be out in the blind...I take it. Just my 2cents worth.

Breaks in between showers are gold. Also, you never know when that buck is going to use the rain for cover to move through some areas and check out bedded does. If all you're doing is sitting on a feeder, and they haven't been hitting it, then I'd skip it, but if you've got some stands on trails near bedding areas or around some food plots I'd be out there.

I like hunting in "bad" weather conditions. Too me it seems like there is not as much human activity as there is wildlife activity. Learned one trick when hunting in rainy weather: snooze till you hear birds flying and chirping, usually means other animals will start moving soon.

I love hunting in a "light rain." the deer are still moving and it takes away one of their best defenses. They can't hear much. I have killed several nice bucks in a light rain. Now, to be completely honest, I have never killed anything during a "downpour." And yes, i have gotten wet and gone home with a cold.

Rain also cleanses the air of "smell" particles, also on the ground, so a buck may have to re-fresh his scrapes, aor spend more time looking for a hot doe. The more he is on his feet, the better your odds are.

With the technology that we have available today, a hunter can head to the woods and pretty much know when the rain will quit, and when it's time to head for the house.

Us old farts can remember when knowing what the weather was going to do was little more than an educated guess.

I killed a 6-yr-old 8 last year in a downpour and he walked within 30 yards of me.

They can't hear you. They can't smell you. The constant barrage of rain dulls their vision and they don't catch slight movement they would otherwise.

It's money.
