Got back from lease yesterday, north Hall county. Small bucks and does showing at feeders, bucks are still running does off the corn so they can eat. Bucks still eating together, their necks are swollen but not going crazy. Thought it might happen a little early, but looks like it is right on track for about the 20th. The good bucks are just starting to move around, not coming to feeders, just kinda scooting by them. Saw a couple of mature deer, but do not have them on cameras.

I do some farming in hall and motley counties. I hope everyone lays off the does for a couple years to let the population catch up. The drought seemed to effect this region worse than the rest of the state. Still no shooters on camera at three different farms.

I agree, been hunting there for 6 years, doe numbers IMO are down. We do seem to have good fawn numbers.
