Hunted all weekend through today. Didn't see so much as a dadburn squirrel. The only cool thing from the whole trip was I stayed up last night and saw the total lunar eclipse which was awesome. I thought that might have even got the deer moving today...WRONG!

I'm there with you Curly. I will head out on the 4th and return on the 10th for my fourth long trip ofthe year so far nothing. But I hope I finally get lucky on that trip. Good luck and nice meeting you tonight.

cameron00, you old AR kizz azzer, you.....do you even know what it's like to hunt your azz off all year, keeping feeders going, game cams going only to see a whole 6 deer all year? I took a doe a couple weekends ago and thank God I did. Otherwise, looks like I would be without venison for the 2nd year in a row.

Time to find a new place to hunt, I'd say!! Go west young man, go west...

I don't really know what that feels like because I have a bunch of deer at my place, but I do somewhat know your pain having drilled that big old 8 during bow opener only to never recover him and pretty much end my season. I still wake up at night having dreamt I found him - it literally haunts me.

Been told to change leases a million times. It's a family lease...been on it for 30 years. The deal is, there's never been a problem seeing deer until a couple years ago. It's a cheap lease. I can't afford to move anywhere else. For those that say you get what you pay for, well the price we pay for did make it a bargain, until now. Now, well, I guess we are getting what we pay for.

There's times the ground is barren under my feeder and times the corn is piled up. My game camera is jacked up now. Could be deer, coons, crows, a hog or 2 or definitely squirrels. Maybe the deer will make a come back some year. Who knows?

Almost all night pics right now. I dunno why.

Full moon I reckon. But still....haven't had full moons 24/7 since opening of deer season?

I hear you Curly!!! I didn't even see a doe until the day it was illegal to take one,(Monday after Thanksgiving)!!! The only bucks I've sen don't make AR's!!! If I hadn't killed that "unicorn" it would have been 3 years without venison!!! Looks like I'll have 2 more days of hunting left, the last weekend of ML season)!!! Hang in there man!!! Good luck!!!

Somehow I think the deer are getting smarter!!! They must be moving to the towns where its safe!!! In New York, hunting their bow season, I was walking down the road heading to hunt a soybean field, I had a doe run up to the road 10yds from me and when a car came up from behind me she ran back to where she came from and when the car passed she ran back up to the road, still about 10yds from me, looked both ways and crossed the road!!! I have 1 buck here at the lease, that comes out, looks at me, smiles and then heads to the feeder knowing he can't be shot!!! When I shot my spike, he jumped over the spike into the thicket and was back at the feeder 5hrs later and the next morning smiling at me!!! And I didn't even see a doe, except a yearling, until the Monday after Thanksgiving when it was the 1st day that it was illegal to take does!!! Strange year its been!!!

I feel your pain Curly... Been hunting East Texas for 13 years now and this has been the 3rd year in a row I have only been able to harvest one deer, a doe!!! I've seen many deer, but AR's....lol!!! I'm working on getting a new lease and unfortunately it's not the same $350 I pay now, but at least I will be able to see/shoot a nice buck for once in my hunting life, lol!!! My wife is sending me on a trophy hunt this next year, which will bring me a buck and a doe!!! Good luck on your next days of hunting man!!!
