No and no. But I'll tell you what will work. If you can kill a hot doe, cut off her tarsal glands and use those. I hang them in a tree near a scrape that I can see from my stand. I've brought in some nocturnal bucks during daylight using this trick.

I think I've tried about every brand out there at one time or another. Only thing I can say that truly worked was the tarsal glands from a deer (doe or buck) taken from somewhere else. Best guess is they smell 'someone' new and have to check it out.
I've had a few does and a couple of young bucks follow a drag I did right to my bow stand before.

But don't get the idea this is a consistent action. Seems the local deer have to be in the investigative mood.

It may not work for you but i use code blue doe in Heat... its pretty expensive at academy($18)but ive had a lot of activity on scrapes... its my go to
