Anyone hunt this area? I just started hunting here at my father in laws place. His place is just a mile or two down from rough creek. Been slow so far but have seen some pretty good deer on camera. When is the rut usually in this area? Not seen a lot of doe is that usual for this area? Thanks

I hunt near Clifton. It's good hunting. We see a few bucks in the 130 range every year. Not huge but really nice

I've been hunting not too far from Chalk Mountain and haven't seen anything but doe and a small buck in person. Have had a couple descent bucks on camera just passing though. The full moon and warm weather had things real slow last week.
