ISolunar says peak movement will be between 11-2 I'm guessing due to the bright arse moon. I seen 6 does and a very young 8 that could be very interesting in about 4 years if he makes it that long. Have had lots of late morning early afternoon pics this last week with a few bucks so hoping they keep that up. I'll be here till dark either way.

This is the young 8 that I seen this morning

I'm not going back until it cools off. Tired of fighting the skeeters and yellow jackets.

Sappertitan, how much do you believe in these feeding times? I have seen no significant difference between the times and deer at other times.

I've had hogs show up multiple times exactly when iSolunar said they would I've had deer do the same thing. I also believe it's not set in stone especially in the rut and pre rut. Also deer have free will and they will move and eat when they want also outside disturbances could throw them off their pattern. To me it's mostly a suggestion of when to hunt so sometimes I follow the recommended times and sometimes I just hunt when I want and stop when I want.

Hot here, fighting wasps. Had a 4pt show up but the feeder going off scared him. Been hunting several days and it seems with this moon the afternoons have been a little better than the mornings.

Rut going on there? It's kicked off here, might be why afternoons are better here.

If seen some pre rut chasing on cam but nothing significant which is odd. I'm guessing the warm weather.

Our rut kicks off usually around the 2nd weekend and is full bore on the 3rd. By the end of Thanksgiving weekend it's about done. My 21st year hunting this area. Just going to hunt mornings the rest of this week till this heat wave passes on Friday. I have a feeling the afternoons are going to slow way down.

I had good action last night, had a nice buck come in chasing a doe but he wasn't the one I am after. Had good action this am as well, lots of doe and babies. Not seeing a lot of rut action yet, just the one buck chasing, but a ton of doe with no bucks following.

I have seen my best results on full moons when the minor or major periods line up with sunrise md sunset, and it's weird but I would swear by the half moon one star days when the major (not minor) periods line with sun up/down. The places I hunt typically don't see daytime action until it gets real cold. Even then, it is usually if a major period is around 2-3.

I wasn't planning on being here this evening. Got some work done around lease and took longer than expected and looked at clock and I told my wife "it's only another hour before deer will be showing up again, might as well stay"

I owe her...

And after all that I had a yearling walk out from behind my blind about 10 feet away and downwind...didn't care one bit. It did the same thing to me this am, walked in front of me about 10 feet away. Maybe his mama has someone in pursuit and that's why it is alone...

This area is high deer density many times I've had 10 doe at the feeder at once. I need to thin them out a little but I keep thinking give it a couple more minutes and maybe a buck will walk out and before I know it all my steaks walk off at once and I'm left with no steak. So if a big doe shows up this evening I'll give the buck a few minutes and if he don't come out I'm dropping the hammer
