The lists above are dated, was wondering is anyone donated their excess venison anywhere around Kerrville/Boerne/Comfort?

I see Bernhard's in Ingram(Kerrville) and Klein's Meats in Boerne, any others ya'll might no of??

Like most of us we need to shoot allot of deer, I will shoot an Axis for me to eat but really need to shoot 5 deer.

20 or so years ago there was a church in Boerne that would take deer and process them for local needy families.

Talk to the local processers. A lot of em take the deer to give to local charities and to others that can pay for the processing but have no place to hunt.

Unless they aren't this year, Shott's just outside of Helotes participates in hunters for the hungry. IIRC, it was either $50 or $60 per deer when you dropped it off.

Thanks,
Rich

'Pretty sure Woodbury's processing in Ingram takes in donated deer. If you're a member of DSC, they will also help cover the cost.
