Just a little bragging on my little guy! He got him a nice buck yesterday evening, I think he may be smarter than I give him credit for. He knows the bigger bucks show up late in season so he always waits until youth season to take his rifle. I mean I knew that we had much bigger deer show up more often but sure didn't think he knew that until ride home last night haha. Anyways he made a solid shot with his AR15 last night around 530pm about 125 yards, deer never took a step! This was by far the most excited that he has ever been after taking a buck and he did have some buck fever this year he was breathing so hard I thought he was going to hyperventilate. Nothing makes me happier than hearing him tell his own story with all the excitement in his voice and smile on his face. He called first thing this morning while I am at fire station and he was just as excited this morning about it as he was yesterday evening when he shot it! Sorry for the long post just very PROUD DAD!!

Congrats to your son! That is a super nice buck You and him both have a lot to be proud of! Great story and I'm sure he tells it full of excitement

Shoot I'd be proud too. Especially knowing that he is figuring out their patterns etc. I haven't shot a deer in about 6-7 years now. My kiddos do all the deer slaying. No need to apologize, dad. Brag away!
