Good luck. If that happened here the deer would shut down till it melted since seeing snow is so rare.

I've seen one of the biggest deer on our lease right after a heavy snow and the sun came out.

Ski Knox County! Unexpected inded. Even while we were sitting out in tne blind with snow coming down and a couple of inches already fallen, my 12 year old daughter showed me the current weather forecast on her phone said 0% chance of snow. We laughed.

The snow yesterday was nice. I am North East Knox, and it was snowing until around 10 am. Animals were everywhere, but the deer didnt seem to move early. A herd of 50 hogs tried to make it across my 400 yard field. I pulled out an extra box of shells and let the 270 rip. Ended up with 2 down in the field and at least 1 more we trailed for a few hundred yards, but crossed a fence. Had deer hit the feeder while I was cleaning pigs. Some time around noon, and at 30 min till last light, I had a spike at the feeder. Wind was blowing from my stand to the feeder and he was spooky, and would not enter the pen. He headed back where he came from and met up with the big 6 on my hit list and they came back. While I was getting ready to shoot him, a really large buck came into view. It was the big 9 I have seen on camera. This is the offspring of the big 10 I took in Nov. He is really impressive, but I want to give him another year if he can make it. Because all 3 were in the pen, I choose not to shoot. It was exremely tough not to shoot, but they kept looking back where they came from, and I was just hoping our monster 8 was hanging with them. Wasn't meant to be though. Bucks were back in bachelor group

This past weekend I was out at Throckmorton. It snowed on me pretty good Saturday morning. I didn't see anything all morning. Seemed like the deer were freaked by the snow. I did manage to see like 5 jack rabbits however. Later in the afternoon while in camp, thought I saw something move in the trees near camp. Walked over and was suprised by a boar hog. Ended up going to town with a 9mm vs a hog.
Other than that, got the truck really muddy while leaving camp. Had prior arrangements for Sunday. Hopefully this upcoming weekend will be more eventful. Already got a cull deer this season so its not a complete wash.
