So this evening I sat in my ground blind looking over a feeder that has become more and more popular with the deer the later in the season it has become. My last sitting a week ago I had 6 does 3 young bucks. Tonight after the feeder went off I had an 8 pt not legal but by far the best I've seen to date. 11.5 to 12 inches short but good to see non the less. He came in solo and has been the only deer I have seen all evening. No game cam to see what else has been here since I was here last. So my question is what caused this guy to come in so early and solo and be the only sighting of the evening. My buddy says dominant buck but I think he's to young for that role. Any thoughts insight ect would be helpful.

Bucks come and go, he is probably just on the "prowl" for a lady. Being solo could mean anything, but likely he has be dogging those does while you weren't there, I see that allot. If a doe knows she will get hounded at the feeder, she may wait until the coast is clear of horny little bucks
If at first you dont succeed, then skydiving is not for you..
