I asked the forum for beginner deer hunting tips for a project that I am working on. I got this one from somewhere else, but I think is the best so far

"Offer gas money and deer dragging services to someone with gray hair that knows how to get it done."

A close second

"Two tips for the beginner......

Tip #1............Find a mentor that has the success you want, and LISTEN to them.

Tip #2............Find the same successful mentor that has the success that you want, and LISTEN to them again.

One time does not make a trend in anything........and neither will one lesson."

#1: Get outside and observe. Then observe some more. Never think you know enough.

#2: PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE ad nauseum

Lesson #1 is true this past year I helped out our neighboring ranch landowner drag a deer and field dress it for him since he couldn't. Needless to say I have a key to his place to help out culling this upcoming season with my own spot to hunt I really appreciated the gesture from his part as I was just being friendly.

Can I drag and clean your deer this season Sandman? lol

There are two kinds of people in this world, those who believe they can and those who believe they can't. They are both correct.
