Looking for recommendations on a lodge/outfitter for a possible Thanksgiving weekend getaway. Would also like to get my 13YO on a deer - buck or doe. Wife thinks Rough Creek is too high but still wants something nice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks very nice but looking for something a bit closer to DFW.

A buddy of mine I grew up with has a place that has an extremely nice house on it (as nice as Rough Creek) that's just south of Sweetwater. About 3 hours from Fort Worth. Is that too far? I haven't been out there yet, but plan to go this year. I've heard it's extremely nice:

Another place that's a bit closer is:

I know the owner of that place as well and while they mostly do bird hunting, they do have deer hunts. I don't know about the lodging, but it's just north of Weathford.
