Took the grizzly to the car wash a couple weeks ago to wash for pics (we were going to post it for sale). This morning was the first time we ran it since pressure washing. Lot of noise from the transmission cover area(I think, hard to tell location exactly). Noise is like a loud motor knock?

We have a snorkel on it. I am wondering of we got water in the system from the snorkel? Anyone with Yamaha grizzly experience have any ideas or things to try?

Warranty will not cover our stupidity so I am trying to get an idea of potential problems before I take it in.

I'd drain the transmission fluid (oil?) and see how it looks. You can tell if water is in it.

Be careful with that pressure washer.

i'm assuming since you think you may have gotten water in it, you must have gone pretty deep in mud or water? That is unless you're questioning if the snorkel leaked.
I'll ask a friend who has one and see if he may know

Didn't actually ride through any high water. Have only ridden it to the mailbox for the last several months. I had not cleaned it up since last fall so we pressure washed it at the car wash. I am worried that we may have gotten water in through the snorkel. I can't think of anything else that would cause the knock, especially since it started after we washed it.

We'll look at it this weekend and see if anything obvious is wrong before I take it to the shop. Oil is not milky, but doesn't look very clean either. Been checking the forums for ideas.

Got a call on my grizzly. They adjusted something on the clutch assembly and replaced the drive belt. Good to go and at no charge. Things are a little slow at work and I needed that good news. God is good to me.

Clutch assy needs to be greased ever so often. Mine had a terrible noise but a grease job with some waterproof wheel bearing grease solved that.
