Has anyone had any hands on experience with a Tomcar? So one in person a couple of days ago and was pretty impressed. Currently have couple Polaris Rangers but the additional ground clearance of the Tomcar would be nice.

I've worked on a few it has usually been just maintenance. They run good and seem pretty smooth but have really never been too off road with them. They are a blast to drive.

I always wondered why the never marketed them to hunters. In Arizona I met a dealer that was selling them as desert vehicles. I told him he needed to market them in Texas as a hunting vehicle. I never drove one but looked them over (10 years ago) and they sure seemed well build.

Pretty sure, they were at the TTHA show several years ago. They were trying to schedule test drives some where in south FTW.

If you will go to there website you can see the military version AND the Israeli army was using them at the time.

Pretty sure they were using a Kohler engine at the time, they were better built than any other side by side at the time.

The landowner has one the ranch I hunt in south tx.
Smoothest riding vehicle I ever been in even at top speeds on rough roads. It is also very stable in high speed turns. They are not very fast though, guessing top speed in the 40's.
I wouldn't want one for a hunting vehicle though as you and everything you have in the vehicle will be filthy when you get out. Absolutely the dustiest dang vehicle I've ever been in. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if you took the top off but otherwise it's a dirtbucket.
