That was my initial thought but the size in between those bars is approximately 36 in. With all the different size bars and associated mounting brackets I feel like it would be almost impossible to find a perfect fit. My second thought was mounting holes for fog lamps but I would assume they would make a bracket that fit there if that was the case. The only bracket I see on their site is the universal one that goes through the grill mesh.

I emailed them but haven't heard anything. I'm not really worried about it as they obviously are supposed to be there just curious what they are for.

I wonder why they're square holes? Almost like they're designed for a carriage bolt for some reason. Maybe just casting holes? Could be just a by-product of the manufacture process with no real purpose? confused2

Call them and leave a message also, at least I would. They always call me back.

IDK, that puzzled me as well.

I will if I don't hear back from them. This isn't pressing just wanted to figure out what the hell they were for.

Well, if it's not for a light bar, what about a bolt-on/semi-removable winch mount? That makes less sense because most of their products already have an option for an integral mount.

IDK, I figured if they had a specific use for it, they would have posted that on their website but I don't see anything.

This is what ranch hand said, which makes zero sense.

That is where you attached the brackets to and from there they attach to the frame.

I would suspect either remote winch or light bar using carriage bolts ... but popcorn to see what the manufacturer says about them.

What they said didn't make sense. See my post above.

Saw that but thought you might have sent them picture showing their response couldn't be correct for these holes.
