We are sitting in Dulless airport waiting for our connecting flight back to Houston after 8 days total and 5 days hunting with Limcroma Safaris in Limpopo. We had 14 of us total on this hunt including wives and kids and it was just an incredible trip. Limcroma was top notch all the way and we got to meet some great new friends. We had right around 40 animals when we left after 5 days but alot of our party was staying until next wed. Hunted with Limcomas suppressed .308 and it was a thumper. Started off the 1st evening hunt warming up for impala and with the last light of the day we got one a great 1st day. Next we got my Nyala and wifes blue wildebeest then hunted hard for Kudu for a day and a half before connecting. Got my Limpopo Bushbuck on a night Hunt. Then went after Eland....its amazing how fast an animal of that size can move and dissapear after being on a herd from 12-6 thur and not being able to get a kill we regrouped for our last day. Eland wasnt on my list but it was all I needed for the spiral slam and they are impressive to say the least so we had switched gears for one. The last day about 9am it started warming up and the bush came alive we were seeing animals everywhere and turned a corner and wlah.....3 large Eland bulls. Of course they were gone trotting at a feverish pace but 1 clearly stood out with the massive forelock and dark grey color. We ran about a 1/2 mile west waiting for them to cross a road to check for tracks and a shot.....suddenly they cross the road and theres 7 bulls! Great more eyes.... we were watching them as they continued to trot quickly when suddenly 1 broke away from the group....this was our break it was the Big Blue Bull! and we knew he would try to go back to them so we pushed him into a large savannah type field where he stopped 500 yds or so away. We jumped out of the truck behind brush and the stalk was on, knowing he would still try to go back to the group we pushed from the southeast but he got in a brush pile and wouldnt move so we slowly stalked into 80 yards waiting for him to step back east. After 20 mins waiting on the sticks we sent the truck to drive the roads to the north and he began to move...a perfect broadside shot and he was down with the .308 moving about 50 yards, it was morning cerveza time...good old Castle.Light.

We finished the evening hunt with my wife getting a beautiful Blesbok. What a trip and memorys with friends. Already trying to figure out how im gonna get back for my Cape Buffalo.

Great pics and some awesome animals. How in the world did you get 14 people to actually go on an expensive trip like that? I've never been able to find more then one that came through when it was time to put up the money!!!!!

That's a fantastic bull for sure, but I'd never pay by the inch for a kudu in Africa. There are many reputable outfitters do not practice this. My 54" bull came from Namibia and cost me $1400.
