Made another trip this week to hunt and take a few pics. Movement was better when it warmer temps. I got to see two buck fights but only got a few pics of one. The one with two 3-4 yr old bucks lasted at least 8 minutes and the fight brought in two more bucks. They fought about 200 yards away in an opening in the taller brush. I could get glimpses but not get any pics. Still a little rut activity but it is about over.
These two 1.5 yr old bucks decided they did not like each other. They fought for a few seconds then broke apart only to decide they still did not like each other. I got the camera on them the second time and took a few pics. In one pic you can see the buck on the left has his right antler G2(it was broken off at the mainbeam) in the other bucks eye.

These are the other two bucks that fought but I could not get the fight on camera. This buck came in and was around eating corn for about 15 minutes. He has one broken browtine already.

This other buck came in hot on a doe. He had already had a broken mainbeam from fighting. He won the fight but lost the doe and never could find her back. A younger 2 yr old 8 point chased her off the opposite direction.

The 10 point came back in after getting whooped and was still breathing hard about 15 minutes after the fight. He now has 2 broken browtines. As if he had not had enough of fighting, he postured up and walked towards another 3 yr old buck that was coming in from the direction he is looking in this pic.

I thought this was a neat series of pics of this big buck using his tines to scratch his back. This older buck and 3 or 4 younger bucks were checking does out around a water trough at mid-day on a dark overcast day. The ran them around till they were satisfied none were in. The deer activity was really good this week at midday- 11am. till around 3pm.

Some other bucks at another blind.

A few more pics. I really liked this buck. He was a 6x6 before he broke a G5 off. I thought he was a 4 yr old. Really great tine length and shape rack.

A few more.

This was a very old buck that showed his age and dominance around the other bucks.

This doe stepped out of the tall grass into the open area around a feeder. With the naked eye I could see white on all four hooves. Looked strange so I took a pic.

Absolutely amazing.

A real hunter never returns empty handed. Spending time in the wilderness temporarily satifies the soul, but leaves us longing for more.

Wow STX, I would almost pay money to just go on a photo safari on your place. Heck of a management program you got going on there. Amazing pics. Thanks for sharing.

That big typical really turns my clock. Too bad about the broken time on his left side. Looks like a 4.5 year old to me too. If I had my way he would breed every doe on that place. Wow!

It is not my place. They have a great management program in place. It has taken 13 yrs to get this point.

He was a 6x6 but broke off his left G5. You can see the old broken G5 a little better on this pic.

Do you have a website with all your pics or are they just posted here? I love looking at your photography.
