That's a pretty healthy looking yote. I'm reminded that the fattest coyote I've ever seen in person was lying dead on the street at the intersection of North Tarrant Parkway and Park Vista Blvd (in North Fort Worth), where the nearest 'wilderness' area was a couple of square miles of soon to be developed pastureland. It had been hit by a car, but judging by it's size, that coyote didn't miss many meals before stepping in front of the vehicle. The coyote in your picture reminds me of that one.

He is a big one and they are very healthy with all the rabbit hunting and prairie dog hunting out there they get some great grazing after hours. We have been so busy getting ready for mule deer season we haven't been hunting them just popping off rabbits as we go around the ranch and occasionally a prairie dog or two and leaving them out there.
