I miss being there and watching the Sun rise on the Cactus Flowers in the Sierra Madre Amigos... Made a Laredo Run and was hard to turn left, wouldn't take a lot to make me cash out and leave a Vapor Trail...

Went to Monterrey a lot as a child. Family had friends there. My grandmother grew up there (RR employee father) and spoke fluent Spanish. Would like to show my wife Mexico City, but don't know if it'll ever be in the cards in my lifetime. I wanted to explore the countryside when I got old enough and could afford it. Then things changed.

Going across the border now days doesn't interest me at all. With all the drugs lords, shooting, kidnappings and people that come up missing I can think of a lot of other places I would prefer instead. Looks like you found a bit of moisture down there.

More than once. The last couple weeks have been killer. I already told my dad if I stop showing up to work I headed north to the hills, don't come looking cause you won't find me.....

Met with a friend from El Paso a week ago in Ruidoso, he said he hasn't been across the border in years. And has no intention of going anytime in the long term future. Our last trip was in about 75 or 76 when my bother was still living there.
