Finally made it back from a week long trip in Alabama. Had a previous thread before I left and received some great ideas and information in the thread and via PM. I would like to thank you all for the tips

It was a family vacation with my family, my parents and my sisters family and it was a much needed break (but probably not the best timing in my business...). I would recommend the trip to anyone wanting a family vacation, but I will warn you, the drive was a beating. We took the northern route there and the southern route home, and the southern route is definitely the way to go. Mobile is a beating either way.

Trying to cut down the number of pictures to post was tough, just because there was so much to do.

We went golfing, go-cart riding, spent time at the beach, fishing off the pier, playing in the pool, playing in the sand, watched a storm roll in, ate at some great restaurants, played lazer tag, hunted crabs at night, hunted jelly fish during the day and seemed like 100 other things. Condo was very nice and on the 10th floor with a great view.

We tried to get a charter boat, but the charter cancelled on us twice because of a storm and high winds. We ended up fishing off the pier and got into some great bull reds. It was a blast but watch out for the locals, they are pretty pushy and feel like they have a claim to every fish in the sea. So, when in Rhome....

It is just $6 to buy the license to fish off the pier. We didn't do any surf fishing, but if I remember, it would have been around $24 or so.

TREX, looks like that redfish was about 2/3 or more of the length of TREX, lol...Great fish and looks like nice times. We'll actually be partaking in some San Destin, FL soon. Looking forward to it.

Were those jelly fish in that one pic? We got ran out of the water by them last week.

What pier did those bull reds come from? I caught one little red off the beach

Yep. The jelly fish were thick. Last couple of days they came in shallow and we pretty much stayed out of the water or spent the time catching them

We caught them off the Gulf Shores Pier, just East of the State Park.
