Who built the rifle? It's sweet and looks like it's a shooter. Mike it was built by a guy near St Louis, Mo. I bought it from a guy that had it built. As I mentioned it's a let handed C series Remington 700 short action. The barrel is a Hart#2 Stainless 24" 1-8 twist. Stock is a McMillian Remington Classic ADL 13.5" lop standard fill 50/50 black and orange. Bolt was fluted by Karl Kampfeld, finished and bedded.Cerekoted by Eddie Fosaugh, titanium and graphite black. The bare gun weighs 6.5lbs The guy I bought it from didn't elaborate on why he was selling except he was reducing his inventory. So far I'm pleased with it. I'm working up a load for some 140 grain Hornady's that I really hope it will shoot well. Take Care, Baker

My next rifle build will be LH short action 260 AI. All of my current builds are long actions.

I've shot a 260 Ackerly before and Loved it. Minimal recoil and very accurate.
